I'm a child therapist who loves using expressive art materials and toys to help children (ages 4-11) explore their inner feelings. With these tools, I gently guide children to put a voice to their fears, sadness or anger as they learn to cope with life's ups and downs. As well, I teach parents ways to respond to their child's behaviour that will lead to more harmony at home and a closer parent-child bond.
Reduce or eliminate problem behaviour
| Anthony was a 7 year old boy who was behaving aggressively with his new baby brother. During the play and art therapy sessions Anthony drew pictures that depicted his need for attention and he used the dollhouse and action figures to play out scenes from home. With the help of the child counsellor, Anthony's jealous feelings were safely expressed and heard and his aggressive behaviour decreased.

Decrease stress and anxiety
| Chloe's parents had recently divorced. She felt angry, lonely and confused. Chloe chose to use modelling clay to form people, volcanoes and animals depicting her conflicting emotions. The clay was also soothing to use and helped her relax while talking to the child therapist. |
